1. Hello,
unless I’m much mistaken I think that the aerial photo of the Velodrome Du Parc des Princes is actually the Velodrome Municipale in the Bois de Vincennes in the East of the city, the Parc des Princes is now a rugby/football stadium with no track. The Municipale is where the finish of the Tour transferred after the Parc des Princes was redeveloped and before the introduction of the finish on the Champs Elysee in the ’70′s.
I got to visit the Municipale in 1990, on foot – I just walked in and sat in the stand and watched some club riders practising. No fuss, no bother, no crowds and a sunny day. It was lovely. As is your site.
How about an aerial photo of the Morfa Park Velodrome, Carmarthen, Wales, UK. Built in 1903 and the track where motor paced racing was, as I understand it, first developed – the start of the keirin? And my local track…

  2. You could be right Mike – I have been relying on Google – never the best. I don’t know that track in Wales, going to look it up now. Thanks for the feedback and following the site
