Things Not To Miss In Belfast During The GIRO: Coppi Restaurant

I will say right off the bat I have no idea if these guys even like cycling or follow it – I have never met them. But I have eaten there, and the food is excellent. Also the coat hooks fashioned out of handlebars are a nice touch on the way in. On our last trip back to Belfast we stopped there for an early dinner and got a seat outside. Yes it is possible to eat outside in Ireland. For all those reading this that think there is no food culture in Ireland except for fish and chips and deep fried Mars Bars (which are actually pretty good) you are greatly mistaken. My friend Kieran has brought me to some great restaurants in Belfast, with the food as good as I have eaten anywhere. COPPI’s rank’s up there, and is nestled in the newly buzzing Cathedral quarter of the city. We had Sea Bass and Butternut Squash Ravioli both really excellent. I would get a reservation booked over the Giro weekend, this will be a popular spot.
