THese were shot on a Nikon D700 with a fixed 50 lens to cut out all of the background. The D700 has a full frame sensor so it picks up a lot of ambient light so I didn’t need to use flash.

Thanks Derek – there was a lot of shooting super high-res and cropping afterward. The fixie and commuter brands are doing some really lovely stuff. The Pashley colors and bikes were beautiful.

Getting shots like these can be a challenge. This is the best gallery I’ve seen from the show this year. Nice job.

I agree that its nice to see the use of color move away from being so primary. The products you’ve highlighted are doing a great job of balancing function and style in their designs. I wonder if this is in part an example of the fixie culture (highly driven by style) spilling into the traditional roadie arena. I hope we see more of it.
