A bit about us: This is a site made by, and for those that have a passion for riding and the culture that goes with it. We also have design in our genes, and look everyday for where bike and design culture intersect. Busting up another few numbers on your LT is great, but finding a new brand or perfectly finished frame will bring us just as much satisfaction. That is because we are old(er) and our days of pretending we could be pro are over. The realization of middle-age has kicked in, but our passion for riding lives on. For me cycling and design meet in geometry (I am reading Brian Rotman’s Becoming Beside Ourselves at the moment and may be influenced by his thoughts on the gestural nature of geometry). Frame geometries and the shape of the line through a curve. It would be great to have you guys post on frame geomtry and how it blends with larger design principles.

What a clean and beautiful site! It makes this cyclist a bit happier when I have to be riding my office chair and not my bike… Great images and reviews, keep up the great work. I’m a fan and will pass along your site!

The Elcyclista Jersey? It is on route from Champion Systems as we speak. Should have it in a week or so. We will do a little photo essay of the full kit when it come in.

I just stumbled across the site, and I am quite impressed with what you’ve done. Though I’m sitting at my desk, you’ve put my soul in the saddle. Thank you. Please keep giving us more.
Best,
Dave

My apologies for double posting, but I failed to comment on your kit design in my remarks above… I think that you’ve done a great job with the design. Chapeau! You’ve kept the design clean and understated, and made it an embodiment of the website.
I’ve recently rediscovered the jerseys of my cycling youth. Just the other day I paid homage to “The Professor” by adding a Systeme U jersey to my cycling wardrobe – I love the design of that jersey. Though it can’t be considered anything but an aesthetic tragedy, I think that I may need to find a Team Z jersey to honor the twilght of Lemond’s career. (It seems only right to pay the same tribute to Lemond that I have to Fignon, as the two men are inextricably linked in my cycling recollection.)

Hey Dave – thanks for your support. I as well grew up in the same era of cycling greats, and remember the day when that System U jersey hit the pack. Only the French could carry that off. I think they call it “panache” but I have my doubts. it is undoubtedly a classic and memerable.

No amount of swagger or panache can make the Team Z jersey look good, but somehow I’m drawn to it like a moth to flame…
It’s amazing how the years have changed my feeling towards Fignon. At the time, his coldness, and aloof and disdainful attitude made me try to will Lemond on – anything to defeat Fignon. Now, my feelings toward him are only fond ones. I guess it’s the same phenomenon that makes ’80s music now sound good… Ah, the nostalgic look back…

Hi,
I take the opportunity to wish you all a very happy new year.
Will I have the chance to wear a kit this season (jersey XL & bib L)?
Philippe.

Found your site as I was lusting & searching for info. about the well designed AC jersey. Then I saw your kit. Wow! What a great blog combining two of my fav. things, fashion (you may call it design) & cycling. When do you plan on selling your kits to the cycling masses? It’s a must have.

Thank you for the kind words. We are just finalizing the next round of kit with Capo Forma this week. It will be available soon. I will keep you posted. They will go quick so I will drop you a line as you are obviously someone we would want sporting the brand

I recently stumbled across your website and am thankful. Your refreshing writings satisfy a never-ending quest for knowledge while adding culture and fresh thoughts further fueling my admitted addiction.
Please let me know about the new kit when its available. I’d be happy to spread the word about this fantastic site.

Can’t wait to see the new design, hope you’re keeping the Coppi pink. Reminds me of that little cyclingwear company (& team) from across the pond, that also has a great design aesthetic. Your blog is a visual treat & you write pretty well too.
Comment by D'Andrea — 02.02.10 @ 3:13 am
Oh the pink is staying – the design is changing very little. I am in love with the Giro, hence the pink.
Comment by cbrady — 02.02.10 @ 9:12 am
Love that shirt design. What’s the cost price? I’ve been looking for my first cycling shirt to go with the new road bike I’m getting in a couple of months and nothing has caught my eye like this. Styish, very stylish.
