ELCYCLISTA KIT
Turn yourself into a moving billboard and wear one of the sharpest kits out there made by Capo Forma. We are now taking pre-orders of the third run. Drop Conor an email at eurobiker@gmail if you are interested in pre-ordering the for the next run. They go quick, real quick, a bit like Cancellara.
The Jersey: $80 (USD)
We are getting European race cut (usually means if you like a little room like me you need to go a size up; I am 5′8″ and about 154lbs and medium build – I need a large jersey) using their Drop fabric, Dual-knit, tear drop style knit with proven moisture management and sublimation properties. The design has a full-length lockable hidden zipper, three back pockets and a silicone gel waist gripper.
The Bibs: $105 (USD)
Will be made with their 210 Power Lycra for longevity and have the Corsa chamois insert. It is an elastic one-piece construction with varying thickness (High 10mm, Medium 7mm and Low 5mm), perforated open cells for maximum air flow, anti-microbial microfiber composed of silver ion threads and enhanced perennial channel for additional comfort. This is a great all-around seating option. These are some of the most comfortable bibs I have ever out my legs in.
Arm warmers: $30 (USD)
The ideal back pocket accessory for every climate and condition, providing both muscle support and effective UV protection. Power Lycra® SPF 50 and silicone gel arm gripper.
Caps: $8 (USD)
One size fits all! Standard cap size. Branded inside peak, wear it under your helmet flipped up in honor of VDB.

For me cycling and design meet in geometry (I am reading Brian Rotman’s Becoming Beside Ourselves at the moment and may be influenced by his thoughts on the gestural nature of geometry). Frame geometries and the shape of the line through a curve. It would be great to have you guys post on frame geomtry and how it blends with larger design principles.

What a clean and beautiful site! It makes this cyclist a bit happier when I have to be riding my office chair and not my bike… Great images and reviews, keep up the great work. I’m a fan and will pass along your site!

The Elcyclista Jersey? It is on route from Champion Systems as we speak. Should have it in a week or so. We will do a little photo essay of the full kit when it come in.

I just stumbled across the site, and I am quite impressed with what you’ve done. Though I’m sitting at my desk, you’ve put my soul in the saddle. Thank you. Please keep giving us more.
Best,
Dave

My apologies for double posting, but I failed to comment on your kit design in my remarks above… I think that you’ve done a great job with the design. Chapeau! You’ve kept the design clean and understated, and made it an embodiment of the website.
I’ve recently rediscovered the jerseys of my cycling youth. Just the other day I paid homage to “The Professor” by adding a Systeme U jersey to my cycling wardrobe – I love the design of that jersey. Though it can’t be considered anything but an aesthetic tragedy, I think that I may need to find a Team Z jersey to honor the twilght of Lemond’s career. (It seems only right to pay the same tribute to Lemond that I have to Fignon, as the two men are inextricably linked in my cycling recollection.)

Hey Dave – thanks for your support. I as well grew up in the same era of cycling greats, and remember the day when that System U jersey hit the pack. Only the French could carry that off. I think they call it “panache” but I have my doubts. it is undoubtedly a classic and memerable.
Comment by cbrady — 12.08.09 @ 7:35 am
No amount of swagger or panache can make the Team Z jersey look good, but somehow I’m drawn to it like a moth to flame…
It’s amazing how the years have changed my feeling towards Fignon. At the time, his coldness, and aloof and disdainful attitude made me try to will Lemond on – anything to defeat Fignon. Now, my feelings toward him are only fond ones. I guess it’s the same phenomenon that makes ’80s music now sound good… Ah, the nostalgic look back…

Hi,
I take the opportunity to wish you all a very happy new year.
Will I have the chance to wear a kit this season (jersey XL & bib L)?
Philippe.
Comment by Philippe — 12.28.09 @ 8:22 am
Found your site as I was lusting & searching for info. about the well designed AC jersey. Then I saw your kit. Wow! What a great blog combining two of my fav. things, fashion (you may call it design) & cycling. When do you plan on selling your kits to the cycling masses? It’s a must have.
Comment by D'Andrea — 02.01.10 @ 5:59 pm
Thank you for the kind words. We are just finalizing the next round of kit with Capo Forma this week. It will be available soon. I will keep you posted. They will go quick so I will drop you a line as you are obviously someone we would want sporting the brand
Comment by cbrady — 02.01.10 @ 7:25 pm
I recently stumbled across your website and am thankful. Your refreshing writings satisfy a never-ending quest for knowledge while adding culture and fresh thoughts further fueling my admitted addiction.
Please let me know about the new kit when its available. I’d be happy to spread the word about this fantastic site.
Comment by Miami Adam — 02.01.10 @ 9:07 pm
Can’t wait to see the new design, hope you’re keeping the Coppi pink. Reminds me of that little cyclingwear company (& team) from across the pond, that also has a great design aesthetic. Your blog is a visual treat & you write pretty well too.
Comment by D'Andrea — 02.02.10 @ 3:13 am
Oh the pink is staying – the design is changing very little. I am in love with the Giro, hence the pink.
Comment by cbrady — 02.02.10 @ 9:12 am
Love that shirt design. What’s the cost price? I’ve been looking for my first cycling shirt to go with the new road bike I’m getting in a couple of months and nothing has caught my eye like this. Styish, very stylish.
Comment by Chris — 02.04.10 @ 3:52 pm
You have a good grip on the classic 80′s bikes. See if you can find an old Alfa Romeo Jersey from the mid-80′s Pro Crit team. That was a classic jersey that would love to have now.
Comment by JD McCay — 03.21.10 @ 5:44 pm

I’d be interested in a kit……large jersey and medium bibs. When are these available?
Comment by ETC 12 — 10.26.10 @ 1:40 am
Wondering if I’m too late for an order of the kit?
Jersey (M), Bibshorts (M), and Arm Warmers (M).
Comment by Mathew — 11.28.10 @ 3:05 am
Just got a set of kit a couple days ago… looks awesome. Fits well! Can’t wait for warm weather to try it out.
For the other out there, I am 6′ 185, and rather broad chested and heavy in the arse for a cyclist. I got Large bibs and an XL jersey. The bibs are spot on. The jersey is solid, tight but not quite euro-pro-skin-paint-tight. I think XXL would be typical “club fit” and L would be skin suite or even too tight, depending on how you hold your weight.
Comment by Janders — 12.01.10 @ 12:15 am
Thx Jander – enjoy and pass any pics you have along. We are collecting!

Just got the shorts in the mail on Monday, darn mail strike. Went out for a good ride yesterday and the shorts felt great and they got a compliment when I was leaving work.
Comment by Simon — 07.14.11 @ 5:28 am
Nice! Wear them as much as you can and spread the good word
Comment by cbrady — 07.14.11 @ 9:46 am
Great kit! Can you say when the online shop will be re-stocked?
Comment by Asif — 08.25.11 @ 5:28 am
Interesting. Some beautiful bikes that are featured here.
By the way, in your blog there is no design associated with women cyclists.
Rethink this: the world has changed..no matter what guys think. And I don’t mean just a female fashion bomb on the bike.
Or would you lose your audience/customer base?
Tailwinds and new directions, hopefully!
Comment by Jean — 06.09.12 @ 3:08 pm
Just getting into the road biking lark, came across this site and love the combination of biking and design. What font is used on Elcyclista?
Comment by MarcSt5 — 07.23.12 @ 1:54 pm
Well it started out as a version of DIN, then ended up in Fontographer and got tweaked a lot and we added the outline after that….
Comment by cbrady — 07.23.12 @ 3:07 pm
Well it looks brilliant.
